(fun pics from Metromix)

Thanks to my friend Mike, I got to see Bad Religion again! Yesterday was their "90's night", where they played songs off Against The Grain (didn't play "Against The Grain" OR "Entropy"!), Generator, Recipe For Hate, Stranger Than Fiction (didn't play "21st Century Digital Boy"), The Gray Race (didn't play "Cease"!), and No Substance. Even though "80's night" consisted of a better setlist, and a better overall show in my opinion, it was still great to to be there because I grew up listening to Bad Religion albums from that era. Though I don't listen to them as much anymore (and honestly haven't really checked out any of their albums since The Process Of Belief), I would definitely have to credit Bad Religion as one of the bands that "changed my life" when I was 13. I had just started getting into punk rock and their politics helped shape the person I've become today. I even quoting Greg Graffin for an English paper I wrote during my sophomore year, haha.

I picked up Henry & Glenn Forever yesterday from the comic book store. It features Henry Rollins and Glenn Danzing's "domestic" life... it's pretty homo-erotic and hilarious.
I hope this is the name of a real coffee shop. So Awesome.
I've decided that I want to donate my hair to Locks Of Love before the end of next year. I definitely want to encourage every woman (and man!) to do this.

I've been lusting after this Dior "oui" ring forever, but the price is quite unappetizing: $675 :(

So I went for the cheaper alternative: DIY. Took me about 10 minutes. Still needs to be perfected but I kinda like it. :)

"RENT IS 2 DAMN HIIIGH!" Wish we could have gotten a better picture!

Met up with Leslie and Becca for Sunday brunch at an adorable French bistro in the Lower East Side called Cafe Charbon (totally made Leslie and I nostalgic for Paris!). It was nice to catch up with each other on life. As we were finishing up, who do we see but the infamous Jimmy "RENTIS2DAMNHIGH" McMillan, in all of his handlebar-moustache glory, strolling down the block! We were flipping out, but no one else seemed to care (seriously?!) haha... we were dying. It was great.

It was a beautiful day so we walked around the LES for a bit, then went to see Never Let Me Go at the Sunshine. I was telling Leslie about the novel and she was very intrigued. I felt like the movie left out some important details, but I suppose I could see why they wanted to simplify it. That being said, I definitely liked the novel better.

Then I headed to The Archeron for the Thinkfast! CMJ showcase where my friends James and Matt's new band, Don't Give A Fuck, played their debut show (They were great!), along with Hour Of The Wolf (can't wait to see them again at Fest!), Outbreak, and The Menzingers. It was a really fun show and I got to see a bunch of friends!

Fest 9 is this weekend and I am soooo stoked!!!
